Fell And Got Hurt On Knee. Having Warmth Around Knee. Sore Muscles In Thigh And Ankle. Infections?
Fell on my knee, lower outer right, & was fine. Cut was severe but I was able to walk okay. Seemed to be doing better a week later but now am having warmth around my knee (mostly above fro the injury), and sore muscles in my upper inner thigh and at my ankle. Also, a pulsing sensation in outer ankle where it now hurts, got a scrap there too from the ink Jury. Related? Infection?
From the given description, it looks like that you have developed infection causing you soreness, local warmth and pulsating sensation.
Apply ice or a cold pack to the painful area for 15 to 20 minutes, 4 times a day for several days. Wrap the ice or cold pack in a towel. Do not apply the ice directly to your skin. Ice will help calm the inflammatory response and stimulate blood flow to the area.
You may need to undergo a few blood investigations like CBP, ESR & C-reactive protein and a possible blood culture to establish infection. An appropriate dose of antibiotic for a specified period and antiinflammatory medications may be needed for definitive treatment.
I suggest you to consult an orthopedic surgeon for further evaluation and management.
Hope this information is helpful. Good day
