Fell Backwards, Minor Headache Spasms, Neck, Shoulder Pain. Should I Seek Any Care?
yes, I fell backwards on some ice 48 hours ago and hit the back of my head really hard. Really hard! Did not lose consciousness. No wound. A bit of contact pain at first, but it subsided. No nausea or vomiting. No disorientation, dizziness etc. Fully conscious. Normal intelligence. Eye pupils did not change. Woke up next day with no pain at impact area. A couple of minor headache spasms... nothing major that morning. But since then, the front of my neck has become painful and the pain is radiating down into my shoulders. I think it is because of whiplash . Bruises on my butt and lower back and arms, which also took the hit. No headaches today, but feel a bit tired, mostly from the dull pain around my shoulders as I sat at my computer. I seem okay otherwise... should I seek any care?
Hi, Welcome to Health care magic forum. It appears that you have a harline fracture of the one of the cervical vertibrea, or it may be the crush of the intervertibral discs. It might be causing the pressure on the nerves coming from the vertibrae. I advise you to consult an orthopedic surgeon for diagnosis and treat ment. You may need to have M.R.I. for diagnosis. Wishing for a quick and complete recovery. Thank you.
