Hi there i fell over yesterday in to a small ditch and its really hurting i cant walk at all. Its both feet. If i stand on them it feels like nails going through them and its constantly sore. Its not my ankle its more toward the outter sides near the pinkie toes.
Iv had my feet elevated since and ice packs but they dont seen to be getting better.

Hello, keep the foot elevated, continue ice packs and have some analgesic. You can bandage them with crepe, but best would be to do a x ray foot AP and lateral view to confirm if there is any fracture, so that the proper treatment can be chalked out. Thank you.

Orthopaedic Surgeon, Joint Replacement Dr. Saurabh Gupta's  Response
Hello and Welcome to HCM,
Thanks for writing to us.
It might be soft tissue injury or fracture.
Without X-ray, it is difficult to differentiate a fracture from others. I suggest you to consult an orthopaedician nearby for a detailed examination. You may get the X-ray of the area affected under his/her guidance.
Beside icing and elevating it, you can take anti-inflammatory drug like motrin to reduce pain and inflammation. Avoid putting weight and rest well.
Hope this helps you.
Wishing you good health...
Regards.

Hi friend,
Welcome to Health Care Magic

You will need an X-ray to exclude a fracture / it is not possible to predict by examination alone.
Rest to the part is very important at this stage
Avoid weight bearing
Splinting helps - if it is one toe, strap it together with the next one.
Non Steroidal Anti Inflammatory Drugs - like Ibuprofen - help

Take care
Wishing speedy recovery
God bless
Good luck
