Fell Down And Twisted The Foot. Had Swelling And Bruising. Now Have Burning Sensation And Extreme Pain. Sprain?

I twisted my foot the other day due to a fall, it immediately started swelling and bruising on the outside of my foot and I could not walk on it at first. I have been able to walk on it now, but I feel an almost unbearable burning sensation and extreme pain when I do & it feels like I need to crack my foot, and it hurts even when i stay off of it, should I get it checked out or is it probably just a sprain?

Hello.
Thanks for writing to us.
Since there is bruising and pain with swelling, an internal bleeding is present. the possibility of a bone injury is present. Proper X-ray examination is needed for exact diagnosis. Till then avoid weight bearing.
I hope this information has been both informative and helpful for you.
