Fell Of Bar Stool, Hit Head After Feeling Light Headed, Problem In Remembering, Sweaty, Pale. Why?

My dad was sitting at the bar. He started feeling light headed, then he fell off a bar stool and hit his head. He passed out. He woke up confused, clammy skin and is having problems remembering the day and where we were. We re home now. He s still sweaty and pale, trying to remember. Please help. He only had 3 beers, which is very normal. He was not drunk. He s also been having bad migraines all this year.

Hi,

Thank you for contacting Healthcare magic.

Based on the description, your dad has had a transient loss of consciousness (LOC) after the head injury due to the fall.

Most likely, he has amnesia due to the injury, and therefore, not able to remember the events that happened before, during and after the episode of LOC. If this is indeed the case, he would recover soon.

However, if he does not recover, or complains of severe headache or vomiting, then, you should take him to ER to get a brain CT scan done, to exclude any internal bleeding.
