Fell On Buttocks, Discomfort In Area Between Lower Back And Buttocks, Bruising. Using Tiger Balm. Cure?

Hi Dr., I fell on my buttocks last week Tuesday, and the area between my lower back and buttocks is uncomfortable every time I get up from sitting. There is a slight bruise . I used tiger balm for the pain, and an over the counter gel for the inflammation. I had the bruise on ice all day yesterday. What should I do?

Hi Keisha,

The pain you are having after the fall is mainly muscular in nature and some what because of bruises.
If the intensity of pain is much than I would suggest you to consult your doctor for some pain killer medication with muscle relaxant and for the bruises use some ointment with antibiotics and take some rest to help for the healing.
If the pain is not that much than I would suggest you to take some pain killer and do hot fomentation and take rest for some days. This will help in resolving the issue.
