Felt Weakness In Body Muscles, Do Exercise. Have Tingling In Thigh. X-ray Showed Mild Lumbar Scoliosis. Cause?

Hello DRs.
I have always felt weekness in my body muscles so i decided to do exercises to tone my legs. I do squats, lunges, leg bridges under the supervision of a trainer. However after 2 weeks I am getting tingling in my outer thigh to the point above my knee mainly right knee. No pain at all. It comes and goes.

1. I am a girl. 24 years.
2. No history of diabetes or neural diseases
3. I am thin. With low body fat.
4. 2 years ago I did an xray and accidently discovered that I have very mild lumbar scoliosis. The dr said it should not affect my exercise or normak life and it didnt.
5. I eat healthy. Non vegeterian. Not anemic.
6. If I put pressure midway on my buttock its a bit tender.

My question is the tingling is becoming annoying and it would really be bad news that I stop working out especially that it has helped me overcome depression.
What could this be? Maralgia paresthetica/ sciatica/ or piriformis syndrome. Should I take vit b?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello dear,

The symptoms can be attributed to compression of nerve root which supplies your thigh.
Kindly consult a Neurologist for a complete clinical examination including nerve conduction tests.
Investigation like MRI of the Lumbosacral spine will help in determining the site of compression.
Nervigenic agents like Vit B6, Vit B12 & Folic acid as well as Physiotherapy exercises will be helpful in reducing the symptoms.

Wishing you a good health.
Take care.
