Fever And Loose Stools. History Of Spleenectomy. Taking Lactobasillus. Advice?

hello,I need help
My Mon had fever 2 days back and since she had a splenectomy done 5 years back, She consulted a doc soon after she started ahving fever and was prescribed amox-clox, paracetamol and rantac... she started having loose stools one day after .. she stopped amox -clox and still has loose stools every 10 -15 minutes

she is taking Lactobacillus and Oflox TZ now... what to do..

Spleenectomy patients are more prone for infections especially intestinal infections,tats why she has been prescribed antibiotics. by the way you have mentioned Lactobacillus and Oflox TZ ,did they were prescribed by the doctor?so whatever be the cause or result,since your mother is passing loose stools every 10-15 minutes its not advisable to take drugs empirically. get a stool(motion) test done and consult your doctor with tat report. hope this wil definitely solve your problem.
