Fever, Sleeplessness After Taking Steroid Shot For Bad Sunburn. On Treatment For UTI. Any Connection?
I got a really bad sunburn and the dr at urgent care gave me a steroid shot and burn cream. The steroid shot started with a "D". I didnt get any release papers, so i do not have the name. I was wondering if a steroid shot will keep you from sleeping? It has been 24 hours since i got it. I have had a fever of 99.5ish for the last 24 hours and im tired but cant sleep. Also being treated for a uti.

Systemic steroid is a treatment for severe sunburns. Yes steroid can keep you awake. The temperature could be because of severe sunburn or even due to the UTI. Continue the antibiotics for UTI.
