Filmy Coat On Pubic Hair, No Foul Smell, Irregular Discharge. Sexually Active. Not On Birth Control. Treatment?
I'm a 24 year old Af. Am. female, 4'11 ft tall, 115 lbs. I haven't been sexually active in 6 months, but recently I've noticed that there is a waxy kind of film that seems to be coating my pubic hairs and it is especially prominent when I get out of the shower. No amount of cleaning gets rid of it, and I have no other symptoms that have appeared with it. (i.e. itching, foul odor or irregular discharge.) This is new to me so I'm pretty worried. I'm also not on birth control or any other medications if that helps. I'm just looking for what it could be and how it could be treated.
I am assuming that you pay special emphasis to your personal hygiene as you have tried to clean this appearance multiple number of times. Please do continue to do so.
The next thing would be to shave the pubic hair from the region just so we can rule out pubic hair to be causing such a presentation. Once this is done, wait for a few days whilst keeping the region dry and clean. If this presentation continues then you may have to visit your doctor for a physical examination.
Hope this helps.
Best wishes.
