First Child Of 20 Days Had Epilepsy. Will My Second Child Have The Same Problem?

Hi my names habib..i got married. Last my first child was birn and we he was 20 days old epilepsy started steel naw on his not devoloping and doctors said he ll live till 2 years old. They gave diagnoz of atrophic change both hemespher... And i would like to know do i need to do dni test to know my sekond child will be halthy ..

There is no screening test which can evaluate will your second child have epilepsy. there is some genetic element in epilepsy but it isnt significant and you shouldnt be worried about that risk. So just hope for the best since the risk of epilepsy in another child is very low.
