Flu With Bad Cough, Leg Pain. Taking Pedialyte. Anything To Worry?

My son had what seemed like the flu about 2 weeks ago with a bad cough. Went to clinic and was put on steroids and antibiotic. He got better. Then Wednesday night he threw up twice while sleeping. No fever. The whole next day he slept and couldnt hold anything down. Still no fever. He was able to drink some pedialyte during the night and this morning but woke up with a low grade temp and is complaining that his legs are hurting. Is this something I should be worried about?

Pediatrician 's  Response
Hi,

Thank you for your query on Healthcare Magic.

It seems like your child is having a viral illness.

Give Tylenol for fever and leg pains in prescribed dose.

Continue to give sips of Pedialyte to maintain hydration of the child.

Physical examination is needed to look for any focus of infection and to assess the child general condition.

Therefore consult pediatrician for evaluation.

Hope I have answered your query.

Regards.
