Fluid Retention In Ankles After Quitting Alcohol. Normal BP. Can Diurex Be Used?
I am experiencing fluid retention in my ankles. I recently got out of rehab and have heard from the nurses there that this is common - Post Alcohol Withdrawal Symptoms. I bought an over the counter Diurex. I just read that grapefruit juice - interacts badly with medication for high blood pressure. Now that I am off of alcohol my blood pressure is normal.

Yes fluid retention ic common with alcohol withdrawal.r u hypertensive ?if yes then start enalapril 5mg.if not take mild dose of diuretic along with salt restriction ,start juice of alvoe vera .while sleeping or resting leg position will be ascending that means place legs above 4 to 5 pillows which supporting ur ankles.always be happy don't think that u was in rehab.best lack 4 rest.
