Hi ! Good evening.

It is good that you could remove the tampon from the vagina. This was responsible for the foul smell due to the infection. The blistery rash and head ache could be due to the same cause which you might be confusing as migraine, although this might have precipitated your prior existing migraine.

With the findings you have such as rash, fever, and pus covered tampon, I would have admitted you in a hospital for close observation where you might have received IV antibiotics, IV fluids, and other supportive treatment after a complete set of investigations of other organ systems.

All this is required because of the possibility of your landing in grave situation like toxic shock syndrome, which occurs due to forgotten tampons in ladies. However, as the cause is removed in your case, you don't have to be apprehensive, but must take care and report to a ER of the nearest hospital where they can assess the extent of involvement of other systems of yours and manage accordingly.

Wishing you an early recovery. Thanks for using health care magic forum for your health query.
