Orthopaedic Surgeon, Joint Replacement 's  Response
Hi Madhukar, thanks for writing to HCM. The orthopedic surgeon has given right treatment for your friend. A single drug at times will have multiple indications (that means a drug can be prescribed for many different diseases). To make you understand better, "chloroquine" which is generally prescribed for malaria is also useful to treat few dermatological conditions (skin problems) as well as to treat "rheumatoid arthritis"(bone & joints problem). In most cases, this condition improves within 6-8 weeks. Hope this helps
