Frequent Urge To Urinate. Anxiety Causing Urinary Problems?
I am experiencing a frequent urge to urinate and if I do not go on time i feel some discomfort in my lower abdomen, not so much in my groin but more toward my belly button. I ve gone to my doctor they did a urine test and it tested negative for bladder infection but did show some elevated levels of RBC , doctor said that she thinks because my period just ended a day before I might have some blood show and I have to retake test in 2 weeks. My symptoms of frequent urination increased since 2 days ago. Also, I remember that 4 years ago I had some RBC in my urine tests and I was sent for a CT scan which came back normal. After that I do not think I was ever tested again. I am not ruling out an anxiety (my mom was diagnozed with urachal/blader cancer recently), I have been feeling symptoms of anxiety so I am not sure if my urinary problems causing anxiety or anxiety causing urinary problems. Any thoughts?
hi there, as suggested by your doctor do take a repeat urine exam done and also ask for a culture and sentivity of urine. If you still have blood in urine you should visit a nephrologist and get yourself thoroughly investigated as you rightly have seen that ca bladder could present with asymptomatic hematuria besides genital tuberculosis and other hordes of kidney problems which may present with blood in urine. Its best to get yourself evaluated and put your mind to rest rather then imagine the worst and lose sleep over itl; Take care.
