Frequently Throwing Up With Sharp Pains In Lower Part Of Stomach
The other night I was very sick, I threw up about 6-7 times throughout the night. Come morning I wasn't throwing up anymore but I felt weak like I had the flu or something. I haven't thrown up since but I finally was able to eat something and now I'm getting sharp pains in the lower part of my stomach. What could be the issue?
Hi. Thanks for your query. Noted the history of severe sickness, throwing up 6-7 times throughout the night, felt flu like in the morning and sharp pains in the lower part of stomach... This may be stomach flu and usually settles on its own and needs treatment for symptomatic and supportive reasons. I would advise you the following: Take a PPI like Omeprazole, Domperidone for nausea and vomiting. Antibiotics if the blood, urine and stool tests show any evidence of infection. Oral re-hydration solution to keep water and electrolyte balance. Consult your Doctor for clinical evaluation and proper management after investigations if necessary.
