Gas Problem And Go For Nature Call Immediately After Food, Body Pains. Taken Rantac Tablet Not Helping. Suggest Any Other Medicine?

Hi Doctor,
Iam suffering from gas problem and need to go to motion immediately after taking the food ( breakfast, lunch).
I have this issue since 2 months. 2 days back I drak beer and had fish and chicken, after that my condition got verse.
I am also having body pains.pains all over my body. I am right now taking Rantac 150 for gas problem , but it is not helping. Please suggest me some medicine. Thank you in advance.

Hi,

You seem to know your problem, that of gastritis and increased bowel movements.

If you are suffering from this problem for 2 months, I suggest you get an ultrasound scan of your abdomen and an endoscopy of the stomach and duodenum. This is advised because you say that Rantac does not work for you. You never know, ther could be some other problem which can be detected only on ultrasound scan or endoscopy.

If the ultrasound and endoscopy is normal as per your doctors, then you can take a more effective medicine instead of Rantac, like proton pump inhibitors (Pantoprazole) after asking your doctor. Rantac/ Pantoprazole is to be taken 30 minutes before food.You may also need antibiotics if you have bowel infection.
