This sounds like an allergy, but could be a symptom of something else. If it is an allergy, it is possible to be allergic to soaps with no fragrance. The only ones I can use are California Baby or Johnson and Johnson Baby wash. Have you recently changed laundry detergent? Do you use dryer sheets? I had to change my soap, shampoo, laundry detergent (All Free and Clear), and deodorant (Tom's of Maine Unscented) in order to stop getting rashes every day. Oh and I have to use Physicians Formula makeup and Cetaphil Restoraderm lotion. Unfortunately, just because a product says it has no-fragrance, doesn't mean it won't cause allergies. Food allergies can also cause rashes, but it sounds like this happens no matter what you are eating. I would say focus on any new products you started using when the itching started. Sometimes companies change their formula too, so it has happened to me when I bought a new bottle of something I had used for a long time. Just please remember that rashes can be a symptom of more serious conditions, so try to see a doctor if using mild products doesn't take care of your symptoms.

Hi!Jade,
Welcome To HealthcareMagic forum,

Jade ,I need to know more about these rashes you are getting.Does it look like raised red rashes .Do you get red raised lines when you scratch.Do you get stomach ache or fever along with the rash.
With the little description it seems to me as URTICARIA,where one gets red rashes which comes and goes.Usually these rashes appear if one is allergic to either any food items ,due to any infection in the body (worms in stomach to dental caries) , fungi or pollens in atmosphere, dust and dander etc.
If not urticaria ,rashes can also come due to soaps and perfumes ,but then it wont itch bad and would be localized to the area where you have used soap or perfume.

Treatment of urticaria would be long and frustrating. You can start with oral anti histaminics ,oral de-worming tablets ,and treatment of any localized infection in the body. There are immuno-therapy injections also available if needed.Topically calamine lotion would give you a soothing effect.

Hope I've answered your query ,if you any further question you can write back to us.

regards,

Hi! again ,

With your description it seems to be URTICARIA.It is definitely a frustrating disease ,a chronic one. I don't know whether you have gone for immunological allergy testing for all types of food items, fungus ,drugs ,dander, pollens etc. This is a type of blood test which tell what you are allergic to.Following this you can avoid what comes positive .And if that doesn't help then injectable preparations can be made of the items which have come positive ,which are finally injected in serial doses sub cutaneously. This is called IMMUNOTHERAPY.
Also check your thyroid status as urticaria is at times associated with that.
