Given Injection Of Diprofos, Steroid. Is That Safe? Should Modafinil Or Vigia Be Avoided?

I live in bogota, Colombia and, in order to relieve some pain while waiting for an appointment I took her to an acupuncturist. The guy has a dr. Title on his sign and part of his treatment was to give her an injection of Diprofos, which I now know is a steroid which doesn't seem all that holistic. Of course he up sold her on treatment then and possibly in the future as well. Is he a quack?

Also, should I avoid taking smart pills/nootropics like vigia, better known as modafinil? It's OTC here and has been fantastic so far. Thanks!

Most of the qualified doctors cautiously use steroid(only when they are required).Taking long term steroids is not advisable since they have result in adverse health consequences like osteoporosis, cushing's syndrome.More over dependency on steroid medication will hamper body's ability to produce endogenous steroids(beneficial in nature).We should actually treat the cause and not the symptoms/suffering.Most steroids are available as OTC. I suggest you meet your doctor although it may take time.Not all steroids might have drug interactions with modafinil.This depends on the molecule prescribed.Hope this helps.Take care.
