Giving Nestle Nan Pro. Breast Fed, Has Gas. Can We Start Cerelax?

My baby girl is 6 months old. Currently i give her Nestle Nan Pro1 (180ml) feed during the day. She is breastfed during night and morning. I tried to give her home made rice cereal paste, but she was not so happy to have it. She also suffered from gases at night. Can you please suggest me what all should i give to my baby for her good health? Should i start cerelac or farex? What is good to have for babies?

Hi,

Thank you for your query on Healthcare Magic.

As your child is 6 months old, complimentary feeding has to be started in the form of semisolid food in addition to the breast and formula milk.

You can give home made moo cereal based semi solids like rice or commercially available preparations like cerelac or farex.

I advise you to start with stage 1 rice based infant food if you are opting for commercial preparation.

Both home made and commercially available foods are good and you should know how to feed, how much to feed, and how to fortify the home made food.

Hope I have answered your query.

Regards.
