Got Cut On Foot Finger, Paining, Swelling. Can It Heal On Its Own Or Should A Visit A Doctor?

i got a cut on one of my fingers of right leg couple of days back...till yesterday it was ok..was paining a little..i wore shoes I guess that made it bad....now today there s little swelling,,,,i applied soframycin and have not wore shoes today,...can it heal on its own or should a visit a doctor

Hi. thanks for posting your concern at HCM

Seems that the cut on your finger has got infected thus causing the finger to swell and pain.

I would certainly advice that you see a local practitioner who might prescribe you a week of oral antibiotics along with a topical antibacterial like mupirocin 2% ointment twice daily.

An OTC pain killer like ibuprofen would help you with the pain part.
