Got Fever After Taking First Flu Shot. Next Shot After Four Weeks. What Is The Right Thing To Do?

My 6 month old child got his first flu shot 2 weeks ago ran a fever 102. Now understanding he will get another shot in 4 more weeks and I'm very concerned after researching too much I may have made a bad decision getting him the flu shot and now I have to get a second flu shot. This shot stuff is taking all the enjoyment out of his first year of life for me because of all the worries that seem to go along with these stupid vaccinations. What's the right thing to do? I literally worry about it day and night

Hi,

I really appreciate your concern for your child.
You have already given one flu shot , hence better to give the second shot.
Regarding fever after the shot you need not worry.
Give paracetamol 15 mg/kg body weight every 4-6 hourly, first dose starting soon after the flu shot for 24-48 hours depending upon the necessity
The child will be more comfortable.
