Got Kneed On Left Leg Between Shin And Calf. Have Swelling In The Area. What Is This Injury?

Hello,

I got kneed on my left leg between my shin and my calf and almost imidiated it swelled up like a golfball inside my leg. I didn't have pain walking, sat out of the game while icing it, elevating it, and trying to massage it out. Then returned to the game with an ice pack wrapped around it. What is this injury?

This could be soft tissue injury, but for a safety purpose x ray study is necessary, If I would be your Doctor then I would definitely called for x-ray, have nice day.
