Got Scratched By Cat, Had Completed The Rabipur Course Before. Does One Require To Take The Rabipur Injections Again?

My sister got scratched by a Cat today. She already got bitten by a cat 6 Months ago and completed the Rabipur course then. My question is: Does she require to take the Rabipur injections again now ? Please help me. Thanks

Hi
Definitely the current exposure is not a very risky one. She needs 2 doses at day 0 & day 3. How ever if the cat is confirmed case of rabies, you should get full course of the vaccine. In rabies it is better to overtreat because of its associated fatality.
