Hi,I am Dr. Subhankar Chakraborty (Gastroenterologist). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I have recently been diagnosed with grade III fatty liver basis an ultrasound where the size of the liver was measured at 17.1cm. However I have no pain or discomfort and neither am I obese. My cholestorol is 189 with LDL at 132 and triglicerydes at 107. I am 5ft 10 in tall and weigh 78 kilos. My SGPT count is 114, but everything else (liver test) is normal. I did used to drink 2wice a week and sometimes binges with more than 4-5 pegs and had a fatty diet, lots of travelling. I suffer from bad bowel movements, indigestion and acidity, at times reflux. Please advise what should I do?
As everything founds to be normal , you can no longer need to be worried if you followed below suggestions.
I suggest you to Cut down drinks to half the quantity and after a month cut down drinks to another half to reduce fat deposition in liver without having withdrawal syndrome.
Do regular Exercise to burn more energy to utilise fat that accumulated in liver.
Avoid Junk Foods for another six months to reduce fatty liver.
