hi Doctor
I have a grinding noise from my neck (sounds like it's from the joint at the base of my skull) ,I have a pain when turning my head and severe stabbing pain in my left shoulder along with pins & needles down my left arm.
On a night I cannot sleep on my left side due to the pain and sometimes on my back.I also have headaches.

Hi,
From history it seems that you might be having osteoartheritis in cervical spines and degenerative changes.
Go for x-ray cervical spines.
Afterwards go for physiotherapy.
Ok and take care.
