You are having dry , hacking cough and this cough started simultaneously with intake of
lisinopril .
The side effects of LISINOPRIL are as follow,
hypotension,
renal failure,
dizziness, headache, diarrhea, hyperkalaemia,
angioedema.
Only angioedema may produce cough ( dry ).
As your only attention is over lisinpril ,so come out from this dilemma .
In my opinion lisinopril is not responsible for your dry , hacking cough.
Few things you have not mentioned in your query as age, sex, as these two factors are very important for any diagnosis.
Also mention the exact value of blood pressure as type of B P is very important .
Transient B P (HIGH) may be due to anxiety ( when doctor check a patient i.e. white collar B P ).
So please upload the lipids , sugar reports along B P .
Alternatively you can consult a physician and get his opinion.
