Had Bells Palsy. Have Tingling In Jaw, Minor Difficulty With Left Side Of Facial Muscles

I had Bell's palsy seven years ago and was one of the few that apparently suffered lasting nerve damage/involvement. I
still experience tingling/loss of feeling in my jaw/upper cheek/eye area and have minor difficulty with the left side of my face/facial muscles in these areas. Just two days ago, tingling/throbbing (no pain or associated numbness) in my left temple occurred (sinus related?) and what feels like muscle spasms there (upper zygomatic/sub-orbital area). I'm going to my primary doctor tomorrow- what should I ask about/be concerned about?

Orthopaedic Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

I have studied your case.

There can be transient ischemic episode which lead to occlusion of blood vessel for a little priod of time and then circulation again started.

For these symptoms neurotropic medication can be started.

Physiotherapy like TENS therapy will help

I will advise to check your vit B12 and vit D3 level.

Hope this answers your query. If you have additional questions or follow up queries then please do not hesitate in writing to us. I will be happy to answer your queries.

Wishing you good health.

Take care
