Had Davinci Prostetomy. Got A Bladder Infection. On Antibiotic. Slight Burning. Have Erectile Dysfunction. Recommendations?
Just had Davinci Prostetomy 5/17/13, today is my first good day with Catheter out lasy thusday 5/25, i got a bladder infection, but now on antibiotic, extreme burn has moved to slight burning.
question is----doc said no sex for 4 weeks, but no elaboration on what all that meant. It has been very conforting for my wife to give me massage, but the doc has her scared. I want to know aht all is permisable. No erection Willie (nickname) for my tool has been like a turtle that won't come out of his shell. he's in shock, and i am wondering if some stimulation at this point two weeks out would not be good.

Thanks for your query.Based on the facts that you have posted it appears that you have undergone Davinci Prostatectomy for cancer of the prostate on 17 th May 2013 and getting problem in getting erection.
Though Robotic radical prostatectomy is minimally invasive surgery for cancer of the prostate there is trivial injury to the neuro vascular bundle that is responsible for erectile function .
t normally takes 6 weeks to regain normal erection and that is the reason Dr has advised you not to have intercourse for 4 weeks.
Second reason for avoiding sex is to prevent transmission of infection to your partner as prostatic fossa created by removing prostate is likely to be infected as a result of surgery.
Do not worry you will get your sexual power and libido over a period of 2 months.
