Had A Baby. Have Fever. Done Urine Test. Ruled Out Dengue, Typhoid. Had Antibiotics.

Hello Sir:
Last month i had a natural baby child but after 10 days of delivery iam having fever . maximum 101.4 so getting so much tensed. i had a urine test and the report showed little infection i had a antibiotic now my infection is o.k but still having fever. dengue,typhoid,haemogram,and urine cultre report are o.k only esr is 80.

Hello,
You have post-partum pyrexia. The source of infection is usually either the urinary tract,or a episiotomy wound. Other causes like dengue etc have been ruled out.
High grade antibiotics should be adequate to treat the infection.
If you still have fever, then there is still a foci of infection somewhere in the body.
After any infection, the ESR is raised. Not to worry about that. If the fever persists, further evaluation is needed.
