Had A Knee Replacement. Had Chills, Fever. Now Weak, Dizziness. Had Chest Pains. Acid Reflux?

My husband had knee replacement surgery June 21, 2013. After that he has had chills and no fever and hands shake. He is weak, dizziness and extremely tired. He will be 75 in a month. Can surgery cause any of this? He has chest pains & went to the hospital this past week: not the heart, not gall bladder........possibly acid reflux.

Orthopaedic Surgeon, Joint Replacement 's  Response
Hi,
Thanks for writing to us.

These effects can occur after surgery and anaesthesia given during surgery. Chest pain might be possible due to acid reflux. Taking antacid will be helpful. Get these after prescription of treating doctor.

I do hope that you have found something helpful and I will be glad to answer any further query.
