Had A Leep Procedure Done Earlier. Pregnancy Test Came Out Positive But With Very Faint Line. What To Do?

hi.i had a leep procedure done. 2 days later I took a pregnancy test and it was positive. did 2 more and they were positive also. my last period was 15.04.13. I waited 6 days and did another pregnancy test(just to be sure) it was positive but the red line was very faint. Went to the doctor today and she also did a pregnancy test and it was positive with very faint line. she did a vaginal scan and found no gestational sac. she said wait a week and have another ultrasound done. what should the possibilities?

Hi,
Thanks for the query.
As all the tests gave positive results, there is possibility for pregnancy.
Sometimes ultrasound cannot show the early gestational changes.
You can go for blood test for pregnancy now, as that can give more accurate result compared with urine test.
If not wait for one more week as adviced by your doctor and go for repeat scan.
Start taking folic acid supplementation and also progesterone tablets if your doctor recommends.
