Hello,
welcome to health care magic and
thanks for the query
To be practical, the first thing to ruled out for any bleeding abnormality
in a sexually active woman is a
pregnancy. Even abnormal bleeding
occurring during the expected date of the next menses has to be
suspected because it could be an
implantation bleeding. First thing to
do thus, will be to do a home pregnancy test with early morning urine.
If it turns out positive, then its a pregnancy and you will have to do an
ultrasound to determine the location of the pregnancy.
If on the other hand it turns out negative, then it could be
hormonal or
infectious and you will need to see your doctor.
Best regards and hope this helps you.
