Had A Viral Infection. On Aspirin. Symptoms Are Cough, Runny Nose. Could I Pass It On To Me Grand Nephew?
I've had a viral infection for the past week and a half. I am taking robutusin, aspirin and claritan. My symptons are cough, runny nose and (had a low grade fever) which I no longer have. My physician did not prescribe antibiotics. I had plans of going to the shore tomorrow and am concerned I that I am still contagious and could pass it on to me grand nephew (4 years old). What are your thoughts?

HI, thanks for using healthcare magic If you are currently experiencing symptoms such as runny nose, cough then you will still be infective. These infections would be spread by nasal and cough secretions. You can reduce the risk of transmission by preventing contact with these secretions. Proper handwashing and the use of barriers to prevent cough secretions from coming in contact with the boy. I hope this helps
