Had Ankle Surgery, Screws And Plates Were Fitted. Started Swelling In Ankle. What Could Be The Reason?

I had ankle surgery 12 years ago. Screws and plates were fitted . Everything was OK till three weeks back. Since the last 3 weeks, the outside of the ankle is swollen . There is no noticable pain. I have been sitting in front of the computer for about 6-8 hours daily for the last few months. What could be the reason for this?

Hi,
Thanks for query,
As you have no pain The inflammatory origin of your swelling is ruled out.
The reason of your ankle swelling may be your implants.
You should consult an orthopedic doctor.
thanks.
