Had Blood Tests Last Week For A Lump On Lymph Node Behind Ear, Prescribed Iron Tablet. What Could Be The Reason? Worried
Had blood tests last week for a lump on lymph node behind my ear. Got a call today to say there is a prescription waiting for me for iron- the receptionist didn t mention an iron deficiency. Also said the doctor will call me ( next available time for them to call is on Tuesday) I am so scared, would they call to tell me bad news?
Hi! Welcome to HCM! You seem to be suffering from infection in head and neck region,it is very common thing that due to some infection or inflammation lymph node enlarges as in your case it is post auricular lymph node.you need to get a FNAC done if it does not subside, shows further enlargement. blood tests are perhaps revealing iron deficiencyanaemia so your prescription is ready.no need to worry, there will be no bad news.Take care!
