Had Burning Sensation In Lower Legs. Have Painful Knot In Lower Leg. Underlying Cause?

I have just had a scare. I woke fine, though I have in the last few month suffered from burning sensation in my lower legs (I am diabetic with High blood pressure). This morning I felt a severely painful knot running on my outer lower leg going upward. I held my leg firmly &prayer frantically. After about 10 to 15 minutes I was able to put my leg off the bed and awkwardly stand and walk.

Hello.
Thanks for writing to us.
The burning sensation in the leg with a painful knot can be related to diabetic neuropathy. This can also happen due to a nerve root compression or mild irritation caused by a prolapsed disc.
I hope this information has been both informative and helpful for you.
