Had Chest Pain, Breathless, Diagnosed Costochonditis, Gave Ibuprofen. Treatment Plan, Healing Time?

I went to an ER with chest pain and shortness of breath earlier this week. They later diagnosed me with costochondritis and told me to take ibprofuen three times a day. My question is how long with this last and is that the right treatment plan? I'm a mom of a baby and a toddler, so not being able to lift my kids and having episodes of this pain are quite scarey

That sounds like the right diagnosis and treatment. The more you use the joint the longer it will take to heal. You could also try alternating ice packs and heating pads to see if this helps.
