Had Chronic Plantar Fasciitis And Hence Took Cortisone Shots, Shockwave Therapy And Eccentric Stretching.Still Limping.

Ok I have been having chronic plantar facillitis for 1 year now but did not seek help until august this year when it flared up very badly. I have had cortisone shots and shockwave therapy and eccentric stretching 90 per day. My doctor thinks I have improved but still don't walk properly and have a limp

Hi. Planter fasciitis is very difficult to treat because it bears all the weight of body. It is good that you are already under the treatment of a Doctor. I hope you have gone for blood tests like blood sugar and x-ray of the feet to rule out any other problem than fasciitis. I do recommend hot water fomentation with saturated common salt solution as this helps all my patients. All you have to do is pour a warm water in a big bucket or a tub which can allow to keep your feet at relaxed position. Add common salt till it stops to dissolve ( saturated ) . Heat this water and test temperature with the back of your hand. Place your feet in this water twice daily. Water has to be warm enough and reuse the same even though it will look dirty . This will definitely help you. Continue all the medicines your Doctor had prescribed. come back to us with your results.
