Had Complete Knee Replacement Still Have Pain In Leg. How To Overcome This?
My husband had a complete knee replacement on 12/4/2012, he is still have a lot of pain with the knee and also where the block for the pain was in his upper leg. His surgeon states he doesn't have any idea what is going on. Just wondering if this is something he is going to have to live with. He does need the other knee replaced but is very hesitant with bad experience he has had with this one.

Persistence of pain after 2-3 months of Total knee replacement procedure always implies an underlying problem. The most common cause of a persistent pain in the knee after TKR is INFECTION unless proved otherwise.
So, a detailed clinical examination followed by a series of Blood investigations and Bone scans are helpful in diagnosing the exact problem.
I suggest you to consult an orthopedic surgeon with good experience in dealing with revision joint replacement surgeries.
Hope this information is helpful.Good day
