Had Concussion, Dizzy Spells, Bad Headache, Tired. What Could Be Causing This?

Hi, I had a concussion about 4 and a half months ago. I get dizzy spells if I stand up or roll over in bed too quickly. Other than this, I was feeling fine. But, two days ago, I started with a really bad headache and now my heart feels like it s beating really hard. I m dizzy and tired as well. What do you think is going on? Could this be related to the head injury even though it was over 4 months ago? Help! Thanks...

Hi,

I am Dr Mbong. After a head trauma, one may sustain an internal head injury (such as a bleed of sub-dural origin) which may get bigger slowly overtime and cause symptoms months after.

So though it is 4 months after what you had, it is advisable to urgently see a physician for examination and a CT scan among other investigations to make sure that the symptoms you described are not related to the head trauma you had.
