Had Cortisone Shots. Feeling Nauseous, Foggy Head, Pain In The Kidney Area, Not Much Urination. Side Effects Of Shots?

Had 4 cortisone shots last Thursday. Felt really awful ever since. I have type 2 diabetes and my blood sugars have shot up. Come down a bit but not back to normal. I feel nauseous all the time and dizzy. My head is in a fog. Now I have pain in my middle right back (kidney area) and not peeing much although feeling like I want to. Upset stomach and nasty taste in my mouth. Is this a bad reaction to the shots?

Hello

Thanks for the query

The symptoms you are facing are suggestive of uncontrolled sugars, cortisone is known to cause increase in sugars.
Here are my suggestions

1. Please approach a physician to revise your sugar medications
2. Get a complete blood count and renal function test done
3. Pain in the kidney area could be a stone, please get an ultra sound abdomen done as soon as possible
4. Upset stomach is because of cortisone, please take a pantoprazole before breakfast every morning until you are on it.

I hope I was of help

Regards
