Had Cortozone For Knee Pain. Knee Hurting. Pain Spreading To Lower Leg. What O Do?

i had a cortozone last tuesday on the outside of my right knee which in the past ive had the shot put on the inside of my right knee. but everyday since then my whole right leg has been hurting starting at my knee and spreading to my lower leg then going to my upper leg. no matter what kind of pain medicine it will not keep it from hurting. did the improper positioning of the shot on the outside of my knee causing me problems or is it something else?

Orthopaedic Surgeon, Joint Replacement 's  Response
Hi, thanks for writing to HCM.

This is just to let you know that an injection into the knee joint can be given through any approach (either inside or outside or from the front side).

I don't think that your present symptoms are related to the steroid injection.

I suspect that your symptoms could be related to the Lumbar spine problem or the Hip joint.

So, I suggest you to consult an orthopedic surgeon for a detailed evaluation and further management.

Hope this information is helpful. Good day
