Had Emergency Surgery For Necrotic Fascitis. Now Developed A Sore Spot In Scapula. No Edema. Have A Non-tender Not-fluctuant Nodule.
Last year I had emergency surgery for necrotic fascitis, lucky to survive. Now I have developed a raised sore spot medial to my scapula on the same side. It does not seem hot or red. It is sore. There is no edema. last Dx was Clostridium. What should I do now?
Addendum to ? Have a 3 X 2.5 cm firm non-tender not-fluctuant nodule midline anterior to crycoid, no tug on swallow, lower than hyoid bone. Statistical likelyhood it is more than a lipoma?
Hello. Thanks for writing to us. The sore knot at the side of your scapula is not likely to be due to a lipoma. An FNAC will help in confirming the diagnosis. The node in the neck is more likely to be a lymph node swelling. I hope this information has been both informative and helpful for you. Regards, Dr. Praveen Tayal , drtayal72@gmail.com
