Had Gay Anal Sex. Was Protected. Also Had Oral Sex. Why Stomach Cramps Are Getting Worse?

hello im a 32 year old gay male, very healthy, excerise eat very well. Friday night (4days ago) i had anal sex, I was the bottom. It was my first time being a bottom. It was protected. the person I was with also had oral sex and oral to anal sex both ways. On saturday I wokeup with bad stomach cramps and loose yellowish bowels, sometimes with muscus in it. It is now tuesday and my stomach cramps have not gone away, today seems to be the worst, neither has the loose yellow stools .

Hi there Jonathan. Your question is why stomach cramps are getting worse. The answer presents itself as per your history, you have taken no treatment. Going by your description, it is more than possible that you have aquired some sort of bacterial infection & gastrointestinal symptoms are manifesting themselves. Given the portals that you have been exploring, it is not uncommon to have gram negative bacteria that are normal commensals in these areas to be converted to pathogens in unfamiliar territories. So please do visit a gastroenterologist. You may alternatively try to use oral metronidazole in a 500mg dose taken three times daily over a period of 5-7 days but again may require a prescription.
