HI
Welcome to HCM

As you know there is block of the blood supply to the part of the brain in ischemic stroke. For left sided stroke there is loss of blood supply to right hemisphere of brain. The neurons are the only cells in the body which once destroyed never regenerates. The affected part gets infarct and is visible through out the life and can be seen through radiological findings.

Now regarding Your issue, The physiotherapy is the only effective way to restore the body functions that have been affected through the stroke or other conditions but there is no surety that she may return her normal status as she was before. some patients do returns to their normal life with physio but many still live with symptoms. The physiotherapy is long term management but the only success is to strict to regularity with the physio. The recovery may take from 1 month to 1 year time, still if the recovery is not complete, there is much improvement with physiotherapy.
A herbal product by the name of ginkobioloma have shown very useful effects in such patients.

Thanks
