Husband and son had bug first I got it the same night had loose bowels got nauseated never threw up. I stayed on water Gatorade crackers. Had a bloated feeling let dr know after four days when it didn't stop so they called outdiphen/atrop which slowed it down. Some days I might have one loose bowel and find the rest of day then the next day it might go off and on. Will be two weeks on we'd that I've had it.

Hello!

Thank you for the query.

Such gastrointestinal infection usually destroys natural intestinal bacteria which protects us from bad bacteria. This allows bad bacteria to grow what leads to digestion problems. Such infection can become chronic and even be diagnosed as an IBS.
I suggest you to start probiotic supplementation and discuss with your doctor Rifaximine treatment. If it wont help, stool test should be done.

Hope this will help.
Regards.
