Had Malaria And Kidney Infection. Foamy Urine. Urine Test Shows Protein And Creatinine. Muscle Weakness. Help
was recently admitted for malaria and acute kidney infection Malaria was over with and was discharged with kidney functions not 100%. Lately i noticed my urine gets foamy and my Dr did a litmus test and sent sample to lab. Lab result indicated some protein present and creatinine levels still not OK since time of AKI. Lately my leg and arm/shoulder muscles get weak/tired for doing even little things like just a little walking up the road. Dr prescribed ion tablets and has referred me back to hospital where i was treated for malaria & AKI. I am asthmatic and hypertensive too. Most worrying now is that i get some nasty feeling in my chest, heart i suppose. its like either it skips beats or something like it is going to pop out of my chest. Hard to describe this feeling but it is nasty as it stops me at my tracts i have to take notice/a breather/pulse for a while. Just like the muscle weakness it is more pronounced when i exercise some pressure. And right now this feeling in my heart comes even while i am idling by. Pls help.

Hi thanks for using HCM
Your history suggests Asthma, Hypertension, Malaria(treated), kidney infection and now feeling palpitation with weakness. Now for management we need to know the root cause of all these. If you can put the drugs you are taking now and the investigation reports you have we can help in better way. Now Get done urine routine, blood sugar level, RFT and also LFT once to know the pathology. Based on these we can help you to manage.
Now take protein powder in cool water or milk, have nutritious diet and regular exercises(breathing exercises). Get back with the above explained. Hope I answered your question. Consult your doctor for further examination and management. Feel free to ask me if you have any further queries. Wish you good health. Take care.
