Had Microsdiscectomy. Have Numb Feeling On Palms. Permanent Damage From Pinched Nerve?
I recently had a microsdiscectomy to relieve the pinch sciatic nerve from a herniated disck in my lower back I believe was L5 S5 well the pain from nerve is gone but I have no feeling or numb feeling on the balms of my right foot.. that sometimes throws me off balance when I walk... I was wondering if this is just a temp thing or if it is permanent damage from the pinched nerve
probably it is a temperory phenomenon. it would have been due to severe compression of the spinal thecal sac by the prolapsed disc .since the compression is relieved by micro discectomy this problem of numbness gets settled in few weeks to months.it would be better if u can take multivitamin tablets especially having B1, B2 ,B6 , B12.
